Cherry Downs Golf Club, located on the eastern edge of Greater Toronto in Pickering, Ontario, was designed by renowned Canadian architect Howard Watson and opened in 1962. Set on rolling terrain framed by woodlands, the course has matured into a challenging layout that combines natural beauty with demanding play. The most defining feature is its distinctive putting greens, designed as a homage to Augusta National, characterized by slippery slopes, plateaus, run-offs, and protective surrounds that test players' course management skills. The dense forests and roller-coaster fairways create a stern test throughout the round. The course offers a full practice facility with six target greens, clubhouse, restaurant, and locker rooms. As the first course in the ClubLink family, Cherry Downs maintains a reputation for delivering the atmosphere of a grand and peaceful traditional club while remaining open for daily fee play seven days a week when available.
