Champagne Resorts Golf Course

Champagne Sports Resort Golf Course is an 18-hole championship course located in the Central Drakensberg region of KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa. The course has been rated among South Africa's top 30 championship courses and recognized as the country's most beautiful golf course in recent years.

The layout features 84 well-appointed bunkers with white silica sand positioned strategically along fairways and greens. Fairways are planted with kikuyu grass, while greens feature L93 bent-grass that maintains quality year-round, particularly in winter. The course incorporates water hazards and wetland features that penalize errant shots, though fairways are relatively wide with light rough bordering.

The setting showcases dramatic Drakensberg mountain scenery with notable views throughout the course. The clubhouse, rated among South Africa's top five 19th holes, offers full facilities including separate ladies' and gents' change rooms, a well-stocked pro-shop, and a halfway house providing refreshments. The course is supported by motorized golf cart access and has hosted significant tournaments including the 56th Sunbird Nomad Nationals.
