Cedar Rock Country Club opened in 1965, with Ellis Maples designing the 7,153-yard championship course featuring Bermuda fairways and Bentgrass greens. The course is nestled within the Village of Cedar Rock with beautiful views of Hibriten Mountain and surrounding landscapes. The course features 18 holes with a par of 72 and a slope rating of 140. The championship layout has lush Bermuda fairways and superb Bentgrass greens. In 1969-70, Golf Digest Magazine recognized Cedar Rock as "One of America's Top 100 Courses," and in 1970, Cedar Rock ranked #3 in the state of North Carolina right behind Charlotte Country Club and Pinehurst #2. Cedar Rock Golf Course has been host to many state and local tournaments and countless charity events and member functions.
