Kusatsu Country Club is an 18-hole championship course located at approximately 1,000 meters elevation in Kusatsu, Gunma Prefecture. Opened in 1966, it ranks as the fourth-oldest course in Gunma. The course features a par-72 layout with two nine-hole loops: the OUT course (par 36, 3,332 yards back tees) and IN course (par 36, 3,370 yards back tees).

The course is characterized by mature trees reflecting its decades of history, strategic layout, and integration with Kusatsu's natural landscape. The elevated terrain provides favorable playing conditions, with golfers reporting approximately 10-yard distance increases compared to lower-lying courses. The course is notably free from fog even during rainy conditions.

Notable design features include signature holes such as Hole 3 (par 5) with its distinctive bell and views of Mount Asama, and multiple dramatic downhill shots offering vistas of regional landmarks including Mount Haruna and Mount Yakeishi. Strategic elements include numerous bunkers, water hazards, and doglegs that challenge accuracy. The setting provides opportunities to encounter wildlife such as Japanese serow within the natural terrain.
