Rainbow Hills Country Club is located in Eumseong, North Chungcheong Province, and features three distinct 18-hole courses: the East, South, and West courses. The facility is set within a landscape of deep valleys and mountainous terrain, incorporating natural elements such as waterfalls and terraced ponds into the layout. The fairways are planted with high-quality Kentucky bluegrass, a cool-season grass that provides a distinct texture and playing condition compared to the warm-season grasses common in the region. The design strategy emphasizes integration with the surrounding nature, avoiding artificial aesthetics in favor of a course that flows with the existing topography.

The courses offer varying levels of difficulty, indicated by their course and slope ratings. From the Championship tees, the East Course presents a rating of 73.6 with a slope of 132, while the Regular tees offer a 71.7 rating with a 129 slope. The Ladies tees from the Championship markers yield a 75.3 rating and a 133 slope. The design requires strategic shot-making, with specific holes demanding precise approach shots to avoid hazards or unfavorable lies. For instance, the first hole on the East Course challenges players with a tee shot that can become burdensome if not managed correctly, suggesting that an iron off the tee may provide a more favorable second shot position.

Rainbow Hills has established itself as a significant venue for professional golf in South Korea, serving as the host for the Korea Women's Open since 2021. This tournament is the national championship of the LPGA of Korea, featuring both professional and amateur players. The course hosted the 39th edition of the event in 2025, where Lee Dong-eun claimed the title and a 300 million won first prize from a total purse of 1.2 billion won. The facility also supports other tour events, including the DB Women's Championship and the KLPGA 2026 Dream Tour, highlighting its capacity to host major competitive events.
