Greenfield Country Club is a 7,043-yard, par-72 facility located in Jeju, South Korea, set within a total area of roughly 959,000 square meters. The course is divided into two distinct nine-hole loops: the Mountain Course and the Sea Course. The layout is designed to blend strategic play with the natural landscape, utilizing Jeju’s native hardwood trees, stone walls, and dry streams to preserve the local environment across all four seasons. The Mountain Course, comprising the front nine, is characterized by its hilly terrain and views of the city, sea, and mountains. The first hole, a 421-yard par 4, presents a tee shot toward Hallasan Mountain that requires avoidance of the left-side slope, while the approach plays to a three-tiered green guarded by a bunker directly in front. The design emphasizes adventure and challenge, with undulating fairways and strategic hazards that demand precise club selection. The Sea Course, playing the back nine, offers a different perspective with views of the soft slopes of Hallasan and the wide plains and valleys. The tenth hole, a 532-yard par 5, plays downhill with a panoramic view of the sea. While the distance may invite aggressive play, the green is protected by a pond and grass bunker to the right, forcing players to aim left off the tee and on subsequent shots to avoid the water. The course features 18 greens, 50 bunkers, and eight water hazards, all set within a member-only environment. The design philosophy focuses on the harmony between nature and artificial construction, aiming to provide a top-class golfing experience that allows players to enjoy the distinct seasonal changes of Jeju. The facility includes a clubhouse, practice areas, and multiple putting greens to support the playing experience.
