Taishi Country Club is an 18-hole, par-71 course located in Taishi-machi, Nangawa District, Osaka Prefecture. The facility sits on gentle hills in a town with historical ties to the Asuka period, offering expansive views of the Osaka Plain. The course is designed to provide a strategic and powerful game, with a layout that varies significantly in elevation and difficulty. The front nine begins with a series of downhill holes, including the 400-yard par-4 first and the 540-yard par-5 third. The fifth hole is a 166-yard par-3 that features a large water hazard on the right side and a two-tiered green. The sixth hole presents a significant challenge as a 525-yard par-5; the tee shot is a downhill drive over a fairway bunker and water, with the second shot requiring an uphill approach to a green that is not visible from the landing area. The front nine concludes with the 386-yard ninth, which doglegs right and features a two-tiered fairway. The back nine introduces more strategic doglegs and elevation changes. The tenth hole is a 500-yard par-5 that doglegs right, offering a risk-reward scenario for long hitters who attempt to carry the trees. The twelfth hole is a demanding 186-yard par-3 over water, while the thirteenth is a 406-yard par-4 with a two-tiered green. The fourteenth hole is a sharp left doglegging par-4 that requires precise placement in the 170-to-220-yard range to avoid the narrow left side. The fifteenth hole is a 400-yard par-4 with water guarding the front of the green. The closing holes test accuracy and distance control. The sixteenth is the shortest par-3 at 147 yards, played downhill. The seventeenth is a 309-yard par-4 where a full drive can reach the green, but a conservative 150-to-170-yard shot to the center of the fairway is recommended for scoring. The eighteenth hole is a 372-yard par-4 played from an elevated tee; the green is two-tiered and partially obscured from the left side of the fairway, requiring precise distance judgment to secure a finish. The course features multiple out-of-bounds areas with designated drop zones for errant shots.
