Located in the Buk-gu district of Ulsan, Baystars CC is a 36-hole facility designed by David M. Dale of ASGCA. The course is split into two distinct nine-hole loops, the BAY and the STARS, which are played in opposite directions to provide a varied experience. The BAY front nine plays from a total yardage of 3,100 yards on the Black tees, while the STARS back nine extends to 3,238 yards from the same markers. Combined, the full 18-hole round measures 6,311 yards from the Black tees on the left side. The course offers multiple tee options, with the White tees measuring 5,791 yards for the full round and the Red tees providing a shorter 4,812-yard challenge. Par for the entire course is 72. The signature hole of the facility is the fourth hole on the BAY loop, a scenic par-3 that offers a direct view of the Donghae sea. This hole is widely recognized for its aesthetic appeal and the dramatic ocean backdrop. The course design emphasizes accuracy over power, with wide fairways that reward smart shot placement. Strategic hazards, including water and out-of-bounds areas, are positioned to penalize errant shots while offering rewards for precise approaches. The STARS back nine presents a different set of challenges, including a demanding par-3 fifth hole that stretches to 217 yards from the Black tees.
