Gifu St. Field CC is an 18-hole, par-72 golf course located in Seki City, Gifu Prefecture, Japan. Opened in May 1995, the course is set within a hilly landscape surrounded by nature, designed to challenge players with a combination of strategy, technical precision, and power. The layout features multiple tee boxes, including blue, green, white, yellow, red, and pink, with total yardage ranging from 4,908 yards on the pink tees to 6,821 yards on the blue tees. The course carries a Course Rating of 73.4 and a Slope Rating of 80.5 from the blue tees. The front nine presents a mix of uphill and downhill challenges, beginning with an uphill par-4 that rewards accuracy on the left side of the fairway. The second hole is a downhill par-3 featuring a two-tiered green with hazards lurking in the back left. The third hole is a slightly uphill par-4 dogleg left, where a central high spot on the green demands precise second shots. The fourth hole offers a downhill dogleg left with a short cut-off over a fairway bunker, while the fifth is a flat par-5 with an empty pond on the right side. The sixth hole requires a precise tee shot to avoid blind approaches into the rough, and the seventh hole is a dramatic downhill par-5 that tests distance control. The eighth hole is a windy, downhill par-3 situated in a valley, and the ninth hole is a downhill par-4 with a creek running along the right side. The back nine continues the strategic demand with an uphill par-4 at the tenth, followed by an eleventh hole that doglegs left with a complex three-tiered green. The twelfth hole is a short, downhill par-3 over a creek, where wind conditions play a significant role. The thirteenth hole is a dogleg left par-4 that slopes to the right, requiring careful placement. The fourteenth hole is a par-5 with a notoriously narrow second-shot landing area bounded by out-of-bounds on both sides. The fifteenth hole is a downhill par-4 dogleg right over a valley, leading into a sixteenth hole par-3 that plays flat but features a two-tiered green with guards on the right. The seventeenth hole is a long, downhill par-5, and the eighteenth hole is a downhill par-4 that finishes the round with a creek on the right side. The course designates the sixth and fourteenth holes as recommended for driving distance competitions, while the second, eighth, twelfth, and sixteenth holes are recommended for nearest-the-pin contests. Gifu St. Field CC accommodates various player levels with dedicated tee times for juniors, ladies, and seniors, and features a footgolf club in collaboration with FC Gifu Footgolf Club. The facility includes a clubhouse with dining options and is accessible via a five-person electric cart system.
