Located in Sasebo, Nagasaki Prefecture, the Sasebo-Hirado Country Club is a 18-hole, par-72丘陵 (hilly) course situated at the summit of a mountain. Opened on August 24, 1990, the layout was designed by Dunlop Sports Enterprise. The course spans 6,879 yards from the back tees with a course rating of 73.4, while regular and ladies' tees measure 6,258 yards and 5,440 yards respectively. The fairways feature gentle curves and undulations, set against a backdrop of seasonal landscapes that change with the terrain. Strategic design is central to the course's character, with water hazards and creeks placed to challenge golfers' decision-making. The greens are constructed with bent grass and are notably large, though they possess significant undulation that adds complexity to the putting surface. The layout includes a mix of par-3, par-4, and par-5 holes, with the front nine yielding 3,452 yards and the back nine 3,427 yards from the back tees. The first, seventeenth, and eighteenth holes are highlighted as signature holes that offer both strategic depth and visual impact. The first hole is a 398-yard par-4, while the seventeenth is a 180-yard par-3. The eighteenth closing hole stretches 393 yards as a par-4. These holes, along with the rest of the layout, are designed to prevent monotony, ensuring that the course remains engaging for players regardless of how many times they visit. Play is primarily self-guided, though caddies are available upon request. The course operates without a designated day off, allowing for year-round play. It accepts major credit cards including JCB, Visa, MasterCard, American Express, and Mastercard. The facility is located at 220-6 Okakunai, Eikicho, Sasebo-shi, Nagasaki, 859-6121.
