Chunichi Country Club is a 27-hole facility located in Suzuka City, Mie Prefecture, set against the backdrop of the Suzuka mountain range. The course sits at an elevation between 92 and 110 meters, with natural forestation covering 45% of the property. The layout is divided into three distinct nine-hole courses—the West, Central, and East courses—separated by 20-meter buffer zones of natural trees to maintain privacy and preserve the environment. The total yardage for the full 27 holes is 10,411 yards with a combined par of 108. The course was designed by renowned architect Seizo Tomizawa and his son, Hirohito Tomizawa. Their design philosophy emphasizes wide fairways, minimized uphill slopes, and a reduction in blind holes to create a layout that remains engaging over multiple rounds. The West Course measures 3,555 yards, the Central Course 3,534 yards, and the East Course 3,322 yards, each offering a par 36. The courses feature multiple tee boxes, including back, regular, front, gold, and ladies tees, allowing for significant variation in total yardage depending on the player's skill level. The East Course is notably the shortest of the three, while the West and Central courses offer longer challenges, particularly from the back tees where holes exceed 500 yards. The design incorporates left and right green configurations on several holes, adding strategic complexity to the approach shots. The facility was established in October 1979 and is managed by Nakanihon Development Co., Ltd., with the chairman serving as the president of the Chunichi Shimbun.
