Located in Sakai, Osaka, Amanoyama CC is a 36-hole facility divided into four distinct nine-hole courses: the South, East, North, and West courses. The layout is designed to offer a variety of challenges, with each course featuring a mix of par 3, 4, and 5 holes. The South Course is described as a champion-level layout that encourages aggressive play, while the East Course offers romantic views of the Ikoma, Katsuragi, and Kongo mountains. The North Course is characterized as technical and demanding, with significant elevation changes, and the West Course provides sweeping views of the Osaka Bay and the Senboku New Town. The South Course, with a par of 36 from the back tees, features a balanced distribution of hole lengths. The 1st hole is a 560-yard dogleg left, while the 9th hole is a 470-yard par 4. The East Course par is also 36, with the 1st hole measuring 520 yards and the 9th hole a 460-yard par 4. The North Course par is 36, with the 1st hole at 450 yards and the 9th hole at 560 yards. The West Course par is 36, with the 1st hole at 470 yards and the 9th hole at 560 yards. Each course has multiple tee boxes, including back, regular, and gold tees, allowing for varying levels of difficulty. Notable holes include the 5th hole on the South Course, a 330-yard par 3 that is a signature shot hole with a green surrounded by water. The 6th hole on the East Course is a 440-yard par 4 that requires precise distance control due to a water hazard short of the green. The North Course's 5th hole is a 470-yard par 4 that features a significant uphill second shot, while the West Course's 7th hole is a 380-yard par 3 with a two-tiered green and a large bunker in front. The course is known for its natural surroundings, with many holes featuring native forests, water hazards, and elevation changes. The South Course is designed to challenge players with its varied hole lengths and strategic bunkering. The East Course is noted for its scenic beauty and the presence of cherry trees that bloom in spring. The North Course is particularly challenging due to its uphill and downhill holes, as well as the numerous mounds on the 5th hole. The West Course offers wide, fairways and dramatic views, with the back three holes being particularly difficult. Amanoyama CC has a history of hosting the 1990 Japan Professional Golfers' Championship. The course record for amateurs is 70, set by Yoshikata Yoshida on the Middle and East courses, and 71 by Osamu Hori on the West and Middle courses. The professional course record is 64, set by Tsutomu Watanabe on the West and Middle courses. The facility also includes a 250-yard driving range with 100 bays, a pro shop, and a members' room.
