Tsuruya Country Club's Nishinomiya Kita Course is a 72-par, 18-hole layout situated in Nishinomiya, Hyogo Prefecture, just five minutes from the Nishinomiya-Kita interchange. The course is embraced by the natural slopes of the Rokko mountain range, with each hole separated by dense natural forests that create a secluded, forest-like atmosphere. The total yardage from the back tees is 6,417 yards, while the regular tees measure 6,086 yards. The course design prioritizes strategic play over brute distance. Greens are constructed with Bent grass (Kaito) and feature large surfaces with two-tiered configurations, demanding precise touch and distance control. The layout utilizes the natural undulations of the terrain, with many holes requiring uphill approaches. The front nine measures 3,102 yards from the back tees, and the back nine measures 3,315 yards. The third hole, a 478-yard par five, is a significant uphill challenge where long hitters must position their tee shots on the left side to set up a second shot. The 13th hole, a 546-yard par five, features a dogleg to the right with a water hazard on the right side and a bunker guarding the approach. The 18th hole, a 562-yard par five, requires a precise tee shot to the left side to avoid a blind second shot over a right-side slope, with a cross bunker and a significant drop-off guarding the front of the two-tiered green. The course presents a test for golfers who can manage their aggression; while the greens are relatively large, the two-tiered design and subtle slopes punish over-hitting. The layout rewards players who can navigate the natural terrain and enjoy the surrounding nature, rather than those who rely solely on power.
