Course Information

Address:
Rio Grande do Sul
Brazil

Located in the Serra Gaúcha region of Brazil, the Caxias Golf Club is a nine-hole course situated in Fazenda Souza, Caxias do Sul, Rio Grande do Sul. Opened in 2002, the layout spans 6,000 yards and was designed by architect Ana Beatriz Chaves Barcellos. The course is positioned along the Rota do Sol, less than 20 minutes from the city of Caxias do Sul, and is characterized by its setting within the mountainous geography of the region. The facility offers views of the Serra Gaúcha and the Faxinal area, integrating the natural terrain into its design. As a nine-hole venue, it provides a condensed round of golf compared to standard 18-hole courses, yet it maintains the strategic elements typical of the architect's work in the region. The course has established a history of hosting international competitions, most notably serving as the venue for golf at the 24th Summer Deaflympics. Held in May 2022, the event took place between May 7 and 11, with play scheduled from 9:00 to 16:00 hours. This designation as a Deaflympics host site underscores the course's capability to accommodate high-level tournament play and large-scale sporting events.
