The Golf Club Madesimo is a six-hole golf course located in the Italian Alps at an altitude of 1,600 meters above sea level. Situated at Alpe Groppera, the course is accessible from June to the end of September, subject to weather conditions. The layout was designed with respect for the natural environment and existing ski slopes, integrating the game into the mountain landscape rather than dominating it. The setting is distinctly alpine, with the club house and course surrounded by peaks that often retain snow even in July. The terrain is characterized by its high elevation and rugged mountain atmosphere, where players may encounter marmots in the anti-avalanche valley near the driving range. The club house itself is a small, comfortable wooden chalet that serves as the administrative center and social hub for the club. As a mountain golf facility, the course offers a unique experience distinct from traditional links or parkland layouts. The short, six-hole design allows for a quick round, making it suitable for practice or casual play during the limited summer window. The driving range is located separately from the main course area, providing additional practice opportunities in the same scenic environment. The club was founded in 1993 as an amateur sports association with the goal of promoting the game of golf. It hosts various competitions and social events, often held in the outdoor gazebo adjacent to the club house. The facility caters to both members and visitors, offering lessons and access to the course during the brief but intense alpine summer season.
