Callippe Preserve is an 18-hole, par 72 golf course located in Pleasanton, California, opening in November 2005. Designed by Brian Costello of JMP Golf Design Group, the course features five tee options ranging from 4,788 yards (red) to 6,748 yards (black).
The layout spans varied terrain, with the front nine routed through a valley and the back nine situated at higher elevation. Happy Valley Creek winds throughout the course, particularly impacting holes 11, 13, and 14. Mount Diablo dominates the northern skyline, with oak-studded valley views prominent from elevated positions.
The course emphasizes strategic shot-making over length and power. Notable features include the dramatic par-3 13th hole, playing 171 yards from an elevated tee with mountain vistas, and the challenging par-4 11th with its undulating green. Hole 14 presents a monster dogleg left with creek hazards. The signature finishing hole is the par-5 18th, where Happy Valley Creek crosses three times, framed by large oak trees.
Holes 11 through 14 are dedicated butterfly sanctuaries. The course contains 59 bunkers strategically positioned throughout to challenge players while maintaining playability across skill levels.
