The course is approximately 6,000 metres long with eight par 4's, five par 5's and five par 3's all with large grass greens, totaling par 72. The course was built in 1970. Located 20 kilometres south-west of Gladstone in Central Queensland, the course presents a moderate challenge with varied hazards and natural terrain features. A pretty watercourse meanders throughout the property requiring shot considerations to avoid, and the layout incorporates trees lining the fairways along with strategically placed bunkers and out-of-bounds markers. The course features a wide variety of wildlife on the course, including kangaroos.

This course has been rated as one of the best courses in Central Queensland. The course is open to the public and welcomes golfers of all skill levels. Notable holes include blind approach shots, risk-reward configurations, and strategic layup options. All holes feature large grass greens, and the clubhouse sits at the top of the hill offering views over the course.
