Course Information Unclaimed

Address:
County Tipperary
Ireland

Cahir Park Golf Club was established following deliberations beginning in 1961, with land purchased in 1966. The course was originally designed by Eddie Hackett as a 9-hole layout, and later expanded to an 18-hole course with Hackett returning to complete the design, which opened in 1995. The club is situated on the banks of the River Suir in County Tipperary, backdropped by the Galtee, Knockmealdown and Comeragh Mountains.

The parkland course plays to a par of 71 over 6461 yards. Water features prominently in the design, with the River Suir crossed on holes eight and 16, and water coming into play at seven holes in total. The seventh hole, a 440-yard par-4, is considered a signature hole requiring precision from the tee. The course is located approximately 50 minutes from Cork, Waterford and Limerick, and less than two hours from Dublin.

Cahir Park won the All-Ireland Pierce Purcell Shield in 2024, and reached the All-Ireland Final in 2023. A new clubhouse opened in 2000 to serve both members and visitors.
