The front nine plays atop a producing oil field with integrated wells and infrastructure designed to blend seamlessly with the landscape.

The course presents significant challenge and visual drama, with tee shots spanning between Badlands buttes and fairways navigating varied terrain. Recent renovations include a reconstructed front nine and updates to the back nine, including new cart paths and a leveled green on hole 14.
