Brown Acres Golf Course ☆ Follow

Brown Acres Golf Course is an 18-hole public course featuring 6,742 yards with a par of 72, designed by Gary Weller and opened in 1975. The course has a rating of 72.5 with a slope rating of 122, set on Bermuda grass. Located just off I-75 near Hamilton Place Mall in Chattanooga, the course is popular with both locals and tourists. The course is mostly wide open, yet it offers enough variety of terrain to challenge any level of golfer.

The signature hole is number 13, a 449-yard par 4 requiring an uphill tee shot to a narrow fairway. Several holes on the front nine are straight away with varying distances. The par three number 8 carries a pond to a large receptive green, while hole number 9 is a dogleg left requiring a precise tee shot followed by an uphill shot to the green.

The course features a challenging layout with a new driving range, and a clubhouse providing a full-service snack bar and pro shop. The facility includes an onsite driving range with 4 practice tees.
