Brierley Forest Golf Club, established in 1993, is located at the northern point of Nottinghamshire bordering Derbyshire. The course is set in a picturesque landscape offering spectacular panoramic views of hills and fields across both counties, extending toward Hardwick Hall. Situated near Huthwaite, the club occupies a former pub building that became its clubhouse in 2013, replacing the original portacabin facilities.
The course has undergone significant evolution since its inception, earning recognition as a hidden gem among regional golf venues. Notable achievements include winning the Nottinghamshire Professional and Amateur Golfers Alliance Championship in 2009/2010 and successfully defending the title in 2010/2011.
Course options accommodate different player levels with multiple tee configurations, including 9-hole and full-length courses from men's white and yellow tees, and women's red tees. The club maintains handicap tables across these various course setups. The facility features a welcoming clubhouse with amenities for social enjoyment, reflecting the club's commitment to serving the local Huthwaite community while actively promoting golf among young people and local schools.
