Bonnie Doon Golf Club is one of Australia's oldest and most influential golf clubs, established in 1897 as Marrickville Golf Club and now the third-oldest club in Sydney. The club has relocated three times throughout its history. Originally a 12-hole course set among the estates of Tempe, it featured the notorious "cliff hole" requiring a lofted shot over a 15-metre rocky cliff face.

The current course is a fully sand-based design, ensuring playability even after heavy rainfall. Located in Pagewood within 8 kilometres of Sydney's CBD, it was redesigned by the renowned firm Ogilvy, Clayton, Cocking and Mead. The course offers electric golf carts, hire sets, shoes, and pull buggies for player convenience.

Bonnie Doon serves as a versatile venue accommodating junior golf, women's golf, corporate events, and charity tournaments. The club maintains strong traditions while offering modern facilities set against Georgian architecture and scenic golf course vistas. Its proximity to Sydney's city centre and international airport makes it accessible for both local and travelling golfers.
