Bloomington Downs Golf Course

Bloomington Downs Golf Course is an 18-hole, par 72 course designed by Robert Heaslip, located in Richmond Hill, Ontario. The layout spans 6,442 yards and emphasizes challenge, fun, and enjoyment for players of all skill levels, from novices to single-digit handicap golfers.

The course features wide open, tree-lined fairways with several elevated greens and water hazards on four holes. The signature hole is #6, a 540-yard par 5 that offers birdie potential with proper execution. Hole #18, a 455-yard par 5 with a dogleg left, is noted as a classic risk-reward finishing hole that plays downhill to an elevated green.

Established in 1989, Bloomington Downs was designed to serve the Richmond Hill and Greater Toronto Area community. The course presents subtle challenges requiring artful shot-making and skillful execution to play at par. Recent improvements include course renovations, driving range updates, and planned enhancements over two years to lengthen select holes, manage tree coverage, add junior tees, and reconfigure bunkers. The facility includes a fully-stocked golf shop offering apparel, footwear, and accessories.
