Blackheath Golf Club opened in 1998 in Rochester Hills, Michigan, designed by Kevin Aldrich. The course was inspired by Scottish heathland design principles, featuring gently rolling fairways and flat bunkering across 128 acres. The 18-hole course plays to par 71 and offers four sets of tees to accommodate golfers of all skill levels.
The layout presents a balanced test of golf with undulating greens and challenging bunkering throughout. The course design provides a true but fair challenge for both men and women, avoiding the extreme conditions often found in links-style courses. Blackheath has gained significant recognition since its opening, hosting the United States Amateur Sectional Qualifier in 1998. It has been rated among the top 5 must-play courses in Michigan by Crain's Detroit Business and earned 3½ stars from Golf Digest. The course has established itself as a premier golf destination in the region through consistent quality and excellent course conditions.
