The 18-hole Blackford course features 6,180 yards of golf from the longest tees for a par of 72. Designed by George Young, the Blackford golf course opened in 1926. Originally a 9 hole course, the back nine holes were added in June of 1998. The course is located in beautiful Hartford City, Indiana, and is a family friendly public golf course serving Blackford County and the surrounding areas.
The course rating is 68.7 and it has a slope rating of 114. The golf course offers terrific views and challenging play for golfers at every skill level, with well-groomed fairways and greens that keep it difficult yet friendly. The new back nine holes were built by Ralph Biggs, with a Grand Opening Ceremony and Ribbon cutting held on June 27, 1998.
