Bishops Bay Country Club is an 18-hole championship parkland course located in Middleton, Wisconsin, designed by renowned architect Bob Lohmann and founded in 1995. The course spans over 220 acres of south central Wisconsin terrain, featuring rolling countryside with picturesque views of Lake Mendota and the state Capitol building.
The layout utilizes the natural topography of the landscape to create a challenging yet scenic experience. In 2019, the course underwent a major renovation by Oliphant Golf that included bunker relocation and size reduction, along with the addition of greenside runoff areas to enhance playability and aesthetics. These improvements maintained the course's championship-caliber difficulty while modernizing its design elements.
The course is known for its exceptional playing conditions and the integration of natural landscape features throughout the routing. The combination of challenging hole designs, strategic bunkering, and the surrounding natural beauty creates a distinctive golfing experience that emphasizes both playability and the region's scenic topography.
