Located in Saint-Damien-de-Buckland in the Chaudière-Appalaches region of Quebec, the Club de Golf Bellechasse is an 18-hole course designed by architect Marcel Notz. The facility is situated approximately 40 minutes from Quebec City, nestled within the landscape of the Appalachians. The course was developed in phases, with the initial nine holes opening in 1986 and the remaining nine completed in 1990. An irrigation system was added to the property in 2006 to maintain playing conditions. The layout measures 6,564 yards from the championship tees and features 56 sand traps and 10 water hazards. The terrain is characterized by undulating greens and tree-lined fairways that provide separation between groups. The design incorporates significant elevation changes, with several holes requiring approach shots to elevated surfaces. The course is rated for men at 71.8 with a slope of 129, and for women at 72.5 with a slope of 128. The back nine presents distinct challenges, particularly the par-4 15th hole, which is guarded by two lakes on the left and features a raised green. The 17th hole, a long par-5, is constrained by out-of-bounds areas on the right and water hazards on the left. The 18th hole serves as a short but demanding par-3 finisher, where players must carry a high trajectory over hazards to reach the green. The front nine includes a long par-5 third hole and a technical par-4 seventh hole with a narrow fairway and a two-tiered green. The course has received recognition within the regional golf community, including a gold medal from the Le Golfeur portal for the Chaudière-Appalaches region and a four-star certification from the Association des terrains de golf du Québec. The club maintains a golf school and on-site facilities including a restaurant and pro shop.
