Designed by Nicklaus Design, the Bear Lake golf course opened in 2008. The 9-hole course features 1932 yards of golf from the longest tees for a par of 29. The course sits at an elevation of 3,400' to 3,700' and has some of the best views in the community. It is the world's first 9-hole Nicklaus Design course and features incredible views of the Blue Ridge Mountains in all directions and two of the toughest par 4 holes.

Located at the highest peak in the community, the private, 9-hole Nicklaus Design signature golf course features top of the world views, a practice facility, and pro shop. The seventh hole offers a breathtaking 40-mile view of the Blue Ridge Mountains and the valley below. Each hole is thoughtfully crafted to provide a challenging yet enjoyable game for golfers of all skill levels. The course is a nine-hole hidden gem perched atop ridgelines with panoramic views for miles.
