The Bay Pointe Club is an 18-hole championship course located in Wareham, Massachusetts, near Buzzards Bay. Originally built in 1964 as Wareham Country Club, it was renamed in 1988 when the distinctive 7th hole island green was created. The course was designed by Geoffrey Cornish and plays to a par 70 (rated 70.9, slope 122) from the back tees at 6,201 yards, though it plays substantially longer than its yardage suggests. The ladies' course plays to par 72 at 5,380 yards from the red tees.
The terrain is generally gentle throughout, with the hilliest sections found on holes one and two. The course features sandy base soil that provides excellent drainage, allowing year-round play without temporary greens, making it a popular winter golf destination. Set near the historic village of Onset and Onset Bay, the course offers scenic coastal views and serves as an amenity-rich facility that includes a clubhouse with pro shop, dining options, and banquet facilities. The signature 7th hole island green is a notable feature that distinguishes the layout.
