Bath Country Club is an 18-hole public golf course located in Bath, New York. The course features the original nine holes designed by Tom Bonner and James Hawk, which opened on July 4, 1954, on an 80-acre converted farm. The back nine represents these original holes, planted with 5,000 pines by volunteers that now characterize the course's landscape. The front nine was added in 1993-1994, designed by Robert Tallman of an Ithaca architectural firm, and completed with assistance from local high school students in the Ag-Mechanics Conservation program. The course reflects decades of community commitment, with the clubhouse and facilities built largely through volunteer effort. The stately pine trees remain a defining feature of the current layout. Bath Country Club serves as a regional golf destination offering membership and public play options, maintaining its heritage as a community-focused facility since its mid-20th century establishment.
