Barwon Valley Golf Course

Barwon Valley Golf Course is an affordable, publicly accessible 18-hole course located approximately 3 kilometres from Belmont's city centre in Victoria. The 5540-metre layout is bounded by the Barwon River on one side and wetlands featuring abundant birdlife on the other, creating a picturesque setting suited to golfers of all abilities. The flat terrain makes the course highly walkable, though cart hire is available.

The course is well-maintained with greens recognised for their high standard and fairways predominantly featuring Santa Anna couch grass. Key characteristics include accessibility for both high and low handicap golfers, making it equally welcoming to beginners and experienced players. Facilities supporting play include two practice putting greens, a chipping area, and a 16-bay driving range with eight undercover bays plus separate grass tee areas. The clubhouse offers a bar, snacks on match days, and social spaces. Professional coaching is available through the resident Club professional, Geelong Golf Academy, offering both individual and group lessons.
