Located alongside Ballindalloch Distillery on the banks of the River Avon in Banffshire, Scotland, this 18-hole par 72 course was designed by renowned architects Donald Steel and Tom Mackenzie. The course showcases a spectacular Highland setting, surrounded by 150-year-old trees, native birch woods, and views of purple heather-clad hills.

The layout spans two levels with holes thoughtfully positioned to maximize the natural landscape. A signature par 5 hole descends from elevated terrain to a tree-surrounded green in the valley below. The design balances challenge with aesthetics, featuring wide fairways contrasted with narrow approaches. The spacious layout ensures golfers experience tranquility without interference from other players.

The course presents a demanding but attractive challenge, with design principles comparable to Steel and Mackenzie's Carnegie Course at Skibo Castle. Positioned just off the A95 behind Ballindalloch Distillery, the course uniquely operates alongside a working distillery on-site. The setting offers proximity to Ballindalloch Castle and several regional hotels, with electric vehicle charging facilities available.
