Axedale Golf Course

Axedale Golf Club is situated along the banks of the Campaspe River in the township of Axedale, approximately 15km east of Bendigo, Victoria. The course features 18 holes converted from the original nine-hole layout in 1996. While not exceptionally long, it demands accuracy off the tee, with wayward shots penalized by the surrounding terrain. The layout includes two signature par fives along the river and the distinctive 15th hole with its sunken green. The course is characterized by excellently maintained bent grass greens and lush fairways, irrigated by a computerized pumping system drawing water from the Campaspe River. The greens are noted for their quality and challenging pace. Founded in 1937 by eight members, the club was reformed in 1973 and now has over 450 members. The course is recognized as one of the best in the Bendigo District, offering both competitive challenge and scenic natural surroundings.
