Antigonish Golf Club is an 18-hole course located in the Highland Heart of Nova Scotia. The original nine-hole course was established by club founders in the mid-1920s, opening for play in 1926. It was initially laid out in Whidden's Intervale and featured hundreds of stately elm trees that provided shade and visual character, though approximately 600 have since been removed due to Dutch Elm disease.

As the sport's popularity grew, the club commissioned R.F. Moote & Associates of Brampton, Ontario to design and construct an additional nine holes. The expanded 18-hole course opened in 1990. The front and back nines feature identical layouts: two par threes, five par fours, and two par fives each.

In 1999, Robert LeBlanc & Associates and the Stonehouse Golf Group developed a long-term masterplan for course upgrades and improvements, which was approved by club members as a working document. The course is described as immaculate and carved through Nova Scotia's highlands, offering a well-established layout that balances the original historic nine holes with modern additions.
