Alsager Golf and Country Club is an 18-hole championship course located near Alsager, Stoke-on-Trent, approximately 10 minutes from the M6 motorway. Originally opened in May 1976, the course was designed by Ron Rimmer, the then Pro/Greenkeeper from Crewe Golf Club. Initially built as a par 72 layout, alterations over the years transformed it into the current par 70 course.
The course features a mature, tree-lined design set across rolling terrain. A member-owned club since 1989, Alsager has invested significantly in course infrastructure, including a complete drainage and irrigation upgrade that enables year-round play and consistent quality maintenance. Recent improvements have focused on enhancing playability for members of all abilities, with notable alterations made to the back nine holes.
The club hosts various competitions, including The Celebration Cup, one of the premier events in the club's calendar. The course is designed to accommodate golfers of varying skill levels while maintaining championship standards. Facilities extend beyond golf to include a country club with wedding and event spaces.
