Located in Sainte-Brigitte-de-Laval, Quebec, the Club de Golf Alpin is an 18-hole course situated on a plateau surrounded by the Laurentian Mountains, approximately twenty minutes from Quebec City. The course measures 6,430 yards from the back tees and plays to a par of 72. The club traces its origins to 1961, when two visionaries identified the potential of the site. It originally opened as the Club de Golf Laval with nine holes in the spring of 1962, expanding to the current eighteen-hole layout the following year. The layout is characterized by narrow fairways, strategically placed water hazards, and well-sited bunkers that provide a challenge for golfers of varying skill levels. The terrain is defined by its elevation and the surrounding mountain views, which become particularly striking during the autumn months when the foliage changes color. The course is mature, having evolved over more than six decades to maintain playing conditions that suit both members and visitors. Specific local rules highlight the course's demanding nature, with out-of-bounds areas affecting holes 6 through 12, as well as specific sections of holes 2 and 17. Relief is permitted without penalty for certain embedded balls, such as those in flower bed rocks on holes 3 and 17, and for balls in identified trees or service roads. The club also provides a practice facility and offers golf instruction for those looking to refine their game.
