Al Badia Golf Club is an 18-hole, par-72 championship course located in Dubai, designed by Robert Trent Jones II. The layout is built on an oasis theme, incorporating abundant water features, rivers of sand, and indigenous Arabian Gulf plants. The course offers a significant range in length, stretching from 5,398 yards for newer players to a maximum of 7,388 yards for championship competitors. Strategically placed hazards require golfers to balance precision with bold shot-making throughout the round. The setting is defined by its desert landscape and water elements, creating a distinct visual character typical of the region. The course is part of the InterContinental Dubai Festival City complex, which includes an award-winning clubhouse and various dining and leisure facilities. The design challenges players with a variety of yardages and hazard placements that test different aspects of the game depending on the tee box selected. Al Badia has a history of hosting professional and amateur tournaments. It served as the venue for the Dubai Festival City Challenge Tour Grand Final, an event on the European Challenge Tour. The club has also hosted various other competitions, including the Shaikh Maktoum Dubai Open qualifiers and numerous club championships and invitational events. The course was owned by Al Futtaim and closed its doors in February 2017.
