Located in Akita City, Akita Prefecture, Akita Taiheizan Country Club is a 730,000-square-meter hillside course designed by Katsutoshi Takizawa. The 18-hole, par-72 layout is situated on a slope overlooking Mount Taihei and is characterized by wide fairways and minimal undulation. The course features bentgrass greens and offers a total length of 6,649 yards from the back tees, with a course rating of 72.1 and a slope rating of 127. The front nine begins with a demanding 529-yard par-5, followed by a 420-yard par-4 and a short 161-yard par-3. The outward leg concludes with a 3341-yard stretch that includes a 578-yard par-5 and a 406-yard par-4. The back nine presents a 405-yard par-4 to start, followed by a 468-yard par-5 and a 391-yard par-4. The round finishes with a 423-yard par-4, while the inward nine totals 3,308 yards from the back tees. Handicap strokes are distributed with the 1st hole receiving the highest priority at 18, followed by the 13th at 12 and the 15th at 14. The course includes specific local rules regarding out-of-bounds, which is marked by white stakes at holes 4, 5, and 13. Players are advised that holes 7, 10, 12, 13, and 17 feature special forward tee rules for out-of-bounds shots, while holes 10 and 17 have specific penalty area protocols. The facility is managed by Taiheizan Sogo Development Co., Ltd., and is a member of the Japan Golf Association and the Tohoku Golf Association. A 220-yard practice range with 15 bays is available for both members and visitors. The course is played as a self-bagged, motorized cart round.
