The 18-hole Airport course features 6,121 yards of golf from the longest tees for a par of 70. Designed by Bill Joellse, the Airport golf course opened in 1929. The course rating is 67.1 and it has a slope rating of 99 on Blue grass. The Airport is a traditional tree-lined, parkland golf course. The par-70 course features bent grass greens and bluegrass fairways, with a chipping area and putting green for guests to practice on.

The Airport is a certified Audubon Cooperative Sanctuary. The Airport Golf Course is home to the state's only professional golf tournament, the Wyoming Open. The course balances challenge with accessibility, rewarding strategic shot-making while maintaining moderate difficulty with its 67.1 course rating. The tree-lined fairways and sloping greens create a classic parkland layout that has been a fixture of Cheyenne's golf landscape for nearly a century.
