Agate Beach Golf Course opened in 1931 as Agate Beach Golf Links, designed by Frank Stenzel, Sr. Located in Newport, Oregon, off Highway 101, the course features a fairly level layout with slightly rolling terrain surrounded by lush wooded areas of fir and hemlock trees. The course has been family-operated by the Martin family since 1960.

The signature hole is the par-3 eighth hole, a 115-yard challenge constructed in 1960 that serves as a memorial to Bill Martin. This hole features towering fir and hemlock trees with a large bunker guarding a challenging green. Major course improvements in the 1960s included an irrigation system, driving range, upgraded tee boxes, and a new clubhouse.

The course is well-maintained year-round and suited for play in all seasons. Agate Beach offers a full-service pro shop, golf lessons from PGA professional Terry Martin, rental clubs in both left and right-handed options, and an iron-only driving range. The course emphasizes its tradition as a family-friendly destination where golfers return with friends and family.
