The Senior Open is a 4-person team competition held at Crosland Heath Golf Club, Felks Stile Road, Crosland Hill, Huddersfield, West Yorkshire, HD4 7AF on 8 September 2026. The entry fee is £30.00 per player for both members and visitors. Tee times run from 10:00 to 13:54. Players must hold a handicap of 28 or less (men) to be eligible. Entry and payment are completed online at the time of booking; a booking reference will be required on arrival. Cancellations must be made by contacting the club by email at golf@croslandheath.co.uk or by phone on 01484 653216. Failure to cancel will result in a 100% charge. The booking is fully transferable.

Crosland Heath Golf Club is a heathland course designed by Alister MacKenzie, remaining relatively unchanged from its original design over 100 years ago. Located in Huddersfield, the course features free-draining fairways characteristic of heathland terrain. The layout is distinctive for its strategic design, with par 5 and par 3 holes running in opposing directions, as do the opening four holes, requiring golfers to play toward all points of the compass. Notable features include stunning "tower" par 3 holes built around old quarries, which provide both visual interest and challenging elevated tee shots. This design ensures varied wind exposure and playing conditions throughout the round. The course maintains its historical integrity while offering a traditional links-style experience despite its inland location, making it a notable example of MacKenzie's architectural principles applied to heathland terrain.
