The Seniors PWG Stableford Open is a gents senior singles Stableford competition held at Newburgh Links (Newburgh-on-Ythan Golf Club), Beach Road, Newburgh, Aberdeenshire, AB41 6BY. The course is a traditional Scottish links established in 1888, situated on the Aberdeenshire coast less than 15 miles from Aberdeen. Tee times run from 08:00 to 14:00 in 9-minute intervals and can be booked online. A valid handicap is required to enter open competitions at this club. The visitor entry fee is £25.00; members pay £15.00. Cancellations made more than 2 weeks in advance receive a refund less a £2 administration fee; cancellations 7–14 days in advance receive a 50% refund; no refund is given for cancellations within 7 days. Appropriate golfing attire is required for competition play. Soft spikes are preferred on the course.

Newburgh Links Golf Club is an 18-hole championship links course located on the Aberdeenshire coast, approximately 15 miles from Aberdeen, Scotland. Established in 1888, the course features a unique split design: the first nine holes were redesigned in 1994 with a modern layout incorporating tiered greens and undulating landscapes, while the back nine represents traditional Scottish links golf. The course commands scenic views of the Ythan Estuary, Forvie Sand Dunes, Newburgh Beach, and the North Sea. A notable feature is the 4th hole "Drovers," which incorporates a stone wall in the fairway and has been recognized as one of Scotland's top holes by The Golfers Journal. The course is characterized by its classic links terrain and challenging design. National Club Golfers describes it as "old fashioned links golf at its finest," combining historical significance with the personality of a traditional Scottish links course while maintaining a welcoming atmosphere for visitors and members alike.
