Magdalene Fields Golf Club is an 18-hole parkland course with traditional links layout located in Berwick-upon-Tweed on England's North Northumbrian coast. Established in 1903 and originally designed by Willie Park Jr., the course was redeveloped to its present configuration in 1974. Playing to 6,602 yards with a par of 72, it is England's most northerly golf course. The course is characterized by panoramic coastal views throughout, with the signature par-three eighth hole played over a cove offering vistas toward Scottish cliffs. From the tenth hole onward, players enjoy views of the Northumberland coast including Bamburgh and Holy Island castles. The first tee sits yards from Berwick's famous Elizabethan walls, providing a unique historical setting. The sixteenth hole, nicknamed "The Destroyer," is the course's most notorious and infamous hole—a blind drive located near a shelter immortalized in a painting by L.S. Lowry. The course presents moderate difficulty with its challenging layout complemented by its demanding coastal terrain and strategic hole design.
