Old Gentlemen - Läckö GK

Old Gentlemen at Läckö Golf Club is one round (3 September 2026) of an 11-round series competition organised across clubs in the Skaraborg region of Sweden. The series is open to men who are aged 64 or older during the year. Entry for each round must be submitted via www.golf.se by Monday 12:00 noon of the competition week. Players from any participating club may enter individual rounds without committing to the full series, though points accumulate across rounds for an overall standings competition. The entry fee is 50 SEK per round plus a mandatory greenfee of 200 SEK (discount cards, SGF cards, VGF cards, and greenfee vouchers are not accepted). There are two individual classes: A-class (handicap up to 17.9) and B-class (handicap 18.0–54.0); both play strokeplay. Class assignment is made before the first start of the season and remains fixed regardless of handicap changes during the year. Players may choose their own tee at each round. There is also a team competition between clubs: the five best net scores per club are added together (fewest strokes wins); a club must have at least five finishers to qualify. Points are awarded 1–25 in each class per round (winner receives 25 points). Overall series prizes are awarded to the top 10 in each class at the final round (1 October, Billingens GK). Class winners at each of the 11 rounds also receive prize money based on the number of starters. Players who participate in at least four rounds qualify for a complimentary dinner at the final round. Dogs are not permitted on the course. The competition follows SGF rules; if suspended due to bad weather and cannot be resumed, the round is cancelled with no refund of fees.

Prizes

Class winners at each of the 11 rounds receive prize money based on the number of starters in that round. Prizes are awarded to the top 10 in each class in the overall season points standings, presented at the final round.
