4-person scramble played every Sunday in October as part of River Valley Golf Course's annual Chilli Opens series. All team members tee off each shot and the best shot is selected, with play continuing in this manner until the ball is holed. The Front 9 is the 'Bliss' side: tee boxes are moved forward (Black tee players hit from where White tees normally are; White tee players move further up towards the fairway) and easy pin positions are used. The Back 9 is the 'Misery' side: tee boxes are moved back (Black tee players move back to where Yellow tees are; White tee players move back to Black tees) and difficult pin positions are used. Seniors aged 65 and over and Ladies play from the White tees. 11AM shotgun start. Includes 18 holes with cart, homemade chili dinner, and hole contests. $260 per team (4 players); full team payment is required at sign-up. Registration is capped at the first 36 prepaid teams. A $20 processing fee applies for cancellations; no refund for cancellations within 24 hours of the event.
