The 48th North & South Junior Amateur Championship is held at Pinehurst Resort, North Carolina. 54 holes of stroke play across three rounds, divided into two divisions: Boys and Girls. Full field consists of 90 boys and 90 girls. Boys play two rounds on No. 6 and one round on No. 2; Girls play two rounds on No. 5 and one round on No. 2. Open to male and female amateur golfers aged 18 and under as of June 22, 2026, or who have not yet started college. All entrants must conform to USGA Rules of Amateur Status and meet USGA Gender Policy requirements. Entry fee is $350. All applications must be submitted by 12:00 PM Eastern Time on May 4, 2026 — no late entries accepted. Players may be Championship Exempt (invited based on exemption criteria) or Championship Non-Exempt (selected by committee based on playing resume and rankings). The final field is announced by May 6, 2026. Boys not selected for the main field may compete in an 18-hole open qualifier at Pinehurst No. 6 on June 20, 2026 (qualifier registration opens May 7, first-come first-served). Girls not selected are placed on a wait-list. Championship registration takes place on June 21 from 9:00 AM–4:00 PM in the Donald Ross Ballroom; all contestants must register in person. Practice rounds on No. 5 (Girls) and No. 6 (Boys) are included in the entry fee on June 21; caddies are not permitted during the Championship. A player dinner is included in the entry fee on Sunday June 21, 6:00–8:00 PM at Pinehurst Country Club; family members may purchase additional tickets. Withdrawals up to and including June 10 receive a refund minus a $30 processing fee; no refunds after June 10 except in extenuating circumstances. An awards ceremony takes place after play on June 24.

Course No. 8 offers six tee selections—Gold, Blue, Gunclub, White, Centennial, Green, Oakley, and Red—allowing golfers to select appropriate challenge levels.
