The 6th Annual The Preserve at Verdae Open is a two-day Club Championship golf tournament held on October 11-12, 2026. The event is open to all competitors, members and non-members. Day 1 begins at 8:00 AM on Saturday, October 11th, with all participants paired into their respective divisions. Day 2 (Sunday, October 12th) features re-drawn pairings based on Day 1 results to determine the overall champion. Divisions include Championship, Players, Senior, Super Senior, and Ladies (Women's). Tee boxes vary by division: hybrid Black/Blue for Championship, Blue/White for Players, White/Gold for Senior, Gold/Red for Super Senior, and Red for all women. All players must hold a GHIN Handicap or equivalent to be eligible for net prizes; players without a handicap may compete for gross prizes only. An optional Skins Game is also available. The entry fee is $175 for non-members and $125 for members, covering two days of golf, driving range access, and food. Food is provided by the Embassy Suites Greenville Golf and Conference Resort: boxed lunches and dinner after the round on Day 1, and boxed lunches only on Day 2. Entrants receive a confirmation email upon sign-up, a follow-up email one week before the event, and pairings by 5:00 PM on the Friday before the tournament. Situated on over 100 acres within the Verdae Development adjacent to the Embassy Suites Greenville Golf Resort, the course is carved into a lush Carolina forest featuring hills and mountain-like brooks that create both scenic views and challenging gameplay. The course presents a moderately difficult layout characterized by its natural terrain and water features. The Preserve at Verdae distinguishes itself through premium turf conditions, featuring Bermuda grass on tees and fairways with Mini-Verde Bermuda greens—the only course in the upstate with this grass variety. The facility offers extensive practice amenities including a full driving range, putting green, and dedicated chipping and short game areas that mirror course conditions. The course is recognized as one of the top golf courses in Greenville and serves as a venue for various tournaments and member events throughout the year.
