8th AECC Benalmádena and Torremolinos Golf Tournament

The 8th AECC Benalmádena and Torremolinos Golf Tournament (6th Memorial Carlos Gil) takes place on 11 July 2026 at Golf Torrequebrada. This annual tournament is organized in support of AECC (Spanish Association Against Cancer) residential homes. The event is played as a Pairs Texas Scramble in Stableford format with handicap, over 18 holes. Eligible participants are amateur golfers holding a valid federative license, of either sex and any nationality. Maximum handicap limits are 28.0 for men and 36.0 for women; the combined playing handicap for a pair must not exceed 60. Foreign players without a Spanish license may enter by providing a valid handicap certificate from their country of residence. The entry fee is €90 per person, which includes the green fee, shared buggy, premium catering, and a cocktail with the prize-giving ceremony. Entries are made online with payment at the time of registration. The entry deadline is 8 July 2026 at 10:00 local time, or when the field of 80 players is full. Two simultaneous tee times are available: 09:00 and 15:00. Players must select their preferred start time when entering. Starting order is determined strictly by handicap, with results published by 10:00 on the day before the event. Men play from the yellow tees and women from the red tees. A cocktail reception and prize-giving ceremony will be held at 21:00 in the clubhouse gardens, catered by La Monarca. Prizes include trophies and gifts for the top three results in each gender category, as well as the best scratch score, plus special prizes for hole-in-one, closest to the pin, and longest drive. Non-partner guests may attend the cocktail for €35 per person, payable on arrival at the course.
