Ashbourne Golf Club is the oldest golf club in Derbyshire, located in Ashbourne with extensive views toward Thorpe Cloud, Dovedale, and The Weaver Hills in the Peak District. The course is James Braid-inspired and features an undulating layout that presents varied challenges across its holes. Each hole incorporates different design elements including dog legs, water hazards, and elevated tees to test golfers of all abilities.
The course is characterized by scenic views and a challenging yet enjoyable playing experience. It serves approximately five hundred members and welcomes visitors, ladies, gentlemen, and juniors of all skill levels. The club has achieved England Golf's 'SafeGolf' accreditation and is certified as a signatory of the 'Women In Golf Charter' since August 2021. Ashbourne is recognized as one of the leading courses in Derbyshire, offering a warm and inclusive community atmosphere alongside its demanding golf course design.
