The Open Singles Stableford takes place at Blackburn Golf Club on Saturday 19 September 2026. This is a men's individual Stableford competition open to visiting golfers. Entrants must be a member of a recognised golf club, hold an official WHS handicap index, and have posted at least 6 qualifying scores in the last 12 months. The maximum playing handicap accepted is 28. The handicap index and home club must be recorded on the scorecard. Entries can be made online via the BRS booking system. Blackburn Golf Club is an 18-hole parkland course located near Blackburn, Lancashire, approximately 6 miles from Junction 31 of the M6 and 3 miles from Junction 6 of the M65. The course measures 6,144 yards at par 71 from the white tees for men, and 5,364 yards at par 73 for ladies. Set in an undulating landscape, the course offers outstanding views of the Pennine Hills and the Fylde coast. The parkland setting provides an inland alternative to links golf, with well-maintained fairways and greens presented in good condition throughout. The course is described as a fair and enjoyable test for golfers of all ability levels, featuring challenging holes with varied terrain. The course has a history dating back to when the original layout featured pastoral surroundings with grazing sheep and cattle.
